Privacy, in plain language

Your recipes stay in your browser. Recipe Source Card has no recipe server, account system, advertising, or analytics.

What the extension reads

Only when you click Capture, the extension reads JSON-LD blocks exposed in the active page and its canonical URL/site name. It looks for schema.org Recipe data. It does not crawl linked pages, bypass paywalls, or send page content to us.

What is stored

Your current draft and, with Plus, your saved recipe library are stored in your browser’s extension storage. Exports are downloaded directly to your device. Removing the extension normally removes this local storage; export anything you need first.

License verification

If you buy or restore Plus, the extension sends only your license token to the Sociobot billing API to check whether it is valid. The result is cached for up to 24 hours. Checkout is hosted by Sociobot/Dodo, the merchant of record, and their policies apply to payment details. Recipe contents are never included in a license request.

Website and network use

The website uses no analytics, cookies, third-party fonts, or third-party runtime scripts. A service worker caches the public site shell for reliability. The extension contacts the license endpoint only when a token needs verification.

Your control

You can remove a saved card inside the extension, clear the extension’s site data in your browser, or uninstall it. You can use capture, editing, and export without buying Plus.
